Remove instant lookup knowledge bar in Trillian Astra

One of the new features of Trillian Astra that I find annoying is the “knowledge bar” that appears at the top of every conversation window. I’ve always wanted a way to turn it off as I’m not interested in any of the information it has to offer, and today I found a way to do just that. Here’s how to do it.

Open the Trillian Preferences and select Chat.
Select the Instant Lookup preferences to get to the screen you see below.
Delete all lookup services by clicking the red X’s next to each service.
Close out of the preferences and close any open conversations.

Thereafter, you’ll no longer see the knowledge bar! Later on, if you decide you miss it, you can come back to the Instant Lookup preferences via Add Lookup Service button in the lower right portion of the screen, as seen below.
